Who has access to the Traffic Engineering System (TES)?
TES is limited to selected RTA staff and pre-qualified Traffic Consultants.
How to get a user name and password?
RTA will generate a username and password for each RTA internal user who will be using the system. As for the pre-qualified consultants, an administrator account will be created for each firm. The administrator can create a unique username and password for each RTA-qualified traffic engineer and modeler.
Can Traffic Consultant’s Admin create a TES account for anyone in the firm?
No. Only traffic engineers and modelers who have been interviewed and prequalified by RTA are eligible for an account. Furthermore, traffic engineers will only be able to conduct TIS’s in the same category level that they are prequalified for.
Can review and model fees be paid online?
Yes. If desired, any payment less than AED 50,000.00 can be made online. However, alternative offline payment options are also available.
Is there a limit to the file size that can be uploaded to the TES System?
Yes. The system is limited to accepting uploads that are less than 100 MB. Larger files need to be submitted offline.
Will the TES System cancel the need for face-to-face meetings?
No. The need and timing for face-to-face meetings will be determined by the RTA liaison engineer.
Is it required that soft/hard copies of the files uploaded online are submitted officially at the RTA mailroom?
No. The files uploaded online should suffice for their intended purposes, unless it is required by the RTA liaison engineer that a copy is submitted at the RTA mailroom or when the file size exceeds the limit (100 MB).
